Develop the right products together.

The UX Vision focuses on what matters: people, user value and the impact of a product. Many individual ideas become one shared goal.

Hand-drawn team of three people celebrating together

Five steps to a shared UX vision.

The team clarifies who it designs for and what the product should deliver. This leads to three to five UX factors, measurable goals and an assessment of the planned features.

What is a UX vision?

  1. Step 1

    Users

Share what you know and assume about the people who use the product.

  2. Step 2

    Product

Clarify what value the product delivers – and what it explicitly does not.

  3. Step 3

    UX vision

Agree on the three to five UX factors that matter most.

  4. Step 4

    Measurement

Make the factors measurable and derive UX goals from them.

  5. Step 5

    Features

Rate planned features by their impact on the UX, for example with UX Poker.

I developed the UX Vision Canvas. Its foundations have been published in several peer-reviewed papers that I wrote together with colleagues.

I’m a passionate researcher, practitioner and speaker for experience-oriented product development. For more than 15 years, I have worked as a product owner, product manager and product lead, supporting organisations in developing inspiring products.

My background is in media computer science and organisational development. My research focuses on corporate culture, UX management and agility. I share what I learn on the German-language podcast “Die Produktwerker” and at conferences and barcamps.
